LIFT BHANGRA: TACKLING STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH DANCE

 

Our aims are simple:

  • To raise awareness of mental health issues in our community

  • To educate students on the importance of prioritising your mental and physical health

  • To show how Bhangra can help alleviate the symptoms of stress, anxiety and low mood

  • To spread positivity through dance

#LIFTINGMINDS

We launched #LIFTINGMINDS in November 2019 in order to share ideas, thoughts, experiences and stories from people within the Bhangra community who have struggled with their mental health, have supported someone struggling with their mental health or have achieved positive mental health through Bhangra. Through our blog, we hope to lift minds and open eyes to the realities of struggling with mental health issues.
